When I come back to it and log in again all my windows are in differnt places (top left) and I have to arrange them manually every time, which is a bit cumbersome to say the least, as I use the monitor for work during the day with lots of open windows in very specific locations.

My PC itself is set to never sleep, but its set to sleep the monitor after 15 minutes of inactivity. It's like the display doesn't even exist.I have a new ultrawide connected with DisplayPort, and a 2nd monitor connected via HDMI, and now I'm noticing everytime the monitor itself goes into Standby mode that my icons and window locations are all messed up. Their support site doesn't list any software, drivers, or firmware at all for the 34GN850. It's just a shame that what should be a software/firmware fix hampers such an expensive monitor and trying to get them to acknowledge it is like screaming into the void. I've tried speaking with them and posting on their forums and they state that the monitor works as intended.ĮDIT: As a point of clarification, I do love the displays and they perform wonderfully for both work from home and gaming and are a vast picture quality and performance increase over what I had. Prompting me to reset my display adapter nearly every single time that my computer wakes from sleep. The bigger annoyance is when my computer comes out of sleep, the monitors do not wake up at all. The first is the issue that you just described where the monitor does not wake up fast enough after the displays are turned off and my windows all go to one of my other monitors. I have two very large annoyances with this configuration that never occurred when I was using my Dell and Samsung displays. I have a single 34GN850-B as my primary display and 2 27" LG monitors as my second and third displays. I'm beyond my return period so I suppose I'm dealing with it. Had no problems on this with my PG279Q and AW3420DW, if I unplug my secondary monitors, problem is gone.Īgreed. There's also posts on the UltraGear forum complaining about it on a bunch of the 32" curved displays and 34" UW's but not enough people seem to get angry about it for them to give a shit, we need more pissed multi-monitor LG users, lol. It's slightly irritating because I know the 38GL950G-B has the option to disable DisplayPort DeepSleep so its like they just "forgot" to leave it out the UI on the 34. I actually just returned my AW3420DW for this monitor despite the issues with the LG, but I wonder if this will ever be fixed, right now I'm using GitHub project called MonitorKeeper and just disabled notifications from NVIDIA but i'm wondering if there's a more permanent fix available. I'm surprised not many people are talking about this, there's a small thread HERE but the monitor has no way to disable DisplayPort DeepSleep and causes issues in multi-monitor configurations due to the monitor having to reconnect on wake (which it does slow in comparison to other monitors) causing all of your windows to move around and a " G-Sync Compatible Monitor Connected" notification every time it wakes up from sleep.
